Translation Errors?!?

I just want to make a post here to make sure people dont get the wrong idea on this because while we DISLIKE people bitching about the translation we dont mind people helping with some errors we might make
Because complaining with out offering a explanation is just bitching which we dislike but are always open for Constructive criticism
So if you want to help out or think we messed something up let us know in DETAIL just saying “You Suck” will get you post deleted because im sure the guys that spend many of there free hours to bring you this stuff dont like to see them types of posts myself i dont mind them because i know im prone to making errors but the only think i do at the moment is encode

It’s good to correct mistake so people dun learn the wrong things but like Jinto said, bitching isnt the way to go about it. Simply say nicely ;P

Thats all we ask for less bitching more Nice Correction explanation if we feel that we made an error after someone made a detailed explanation then i dont mind re-doing it but need to also convince the other staff members of redoing it as well lol

I think that’s a nice stance to take. Obviously complaining and just saying “this sucks” is a stupid way to go. It doesn’t help anyone. Though constructive criticism is good long as there is something to back it up. Since in the end we are all enjoying the series and making it better is good for everyone.
Anyways I’m having a ton of fun with this series. Think you all are doing a great job.

I’m fairly certain that Mafuyu is calling Sasha ?????? (tundra boy). Not only does this make more sense than “boss”, I’m pretty sure this is also the term used in the manga.
It would also be better if you could write “I am” or “I’m” instead of just “am” in the places that need it. This may just have been an oversight, but it’s the little things like this that can give it a polished look if corrected.

I agree with that and, since it has a negative sense/meaning, I would even adapt it into “You tundra brat !!” or call him “Tundra brat.”

Yep all of this really matters complaing about Sasha’s nickname EVERYONE as there own way or translating stuff and i myself see nothing wrong with Tundra Boss because while its also used in the Manga as well as going along with which his home town but then again i dont know anything im just a lazy TL and slow crappy encoder :/

This is not direct at the one dubbing doing the show but @ those who want perfect translation guess what do it your self and shut up..
Crap all cause of Tundra Boss or Tundra Boy … lol Sasha does not act like a boy he acts like a dictator doing what he beliefs is the correct path be it wrong or right or abusive as long as it gets the job done a boy does not do that but a Boss does… He acts authoritarian Tundra Boss in the sense Mafuyu said to him is more like a reproach then giving him a tittle. Be nice or be gentle same freaking meaning.. Gosh stop being hung up on perfect translation which is impossible yes impossible to have a perfect translation.. when one language is done from the right side and other is done from the left side.. I’m/ I am /or to the latter am hmm is the same concept implied.. is the same freaking thing use your brains figure it out that is why we are can reason, have intelligence use it.
I am bilingual spanish/english snd to make someone understand sometimes got rock my brain trying to translate from one langauge to the other is not easy but as long as you translate the emotion/feeling of it your job is done..

Well I´ve seen the first 4 episodes (due to lack of uncensoredness at that time:P) from diffrent groups and I can´t say their translations vary all to much from what Desu did. I couldnt care less for some nickname translations or shit as long as the general conversations are translated correctly. And to be honest I´ve seen official subs from DvD´s/BR which were worse than the fansubs for the same title.
And if someone wants professional translations they can go pay someone a few hundred bugs for it per episode and someone else to do the encoding and typesetting for another few hundred bugs, or wait until the DvD/BR´s are out in their language.
Really dont get how you can bitch at someone doing sth for free for you, and at that about some minor shit that isnt even worth typing the comment. Aslong as these subs are free you have no right to bitch about them and its not like anyone is forcing you to download and watch them.

On 0:54 Miyuri called Tomo “oppai obake” which is, I believe, “breast monster” or something similar. And about “tsundora bouzu”: remember that anime “Sunabouzu” (????)?
That title was translated as “Desert Punk”, so I agree with translating it as “tundra brat”.

You’re an idiot. The subtitles have been dead wrong multiple times. And it’s not even slight errors or nuances either – half the time, you either have to know Japanese or you’ll just end up misunderstanding it because of the poor translation.
Hell, I’d do them myself if I actually cared about this series. But apparently, we’re all in it for the bewbs :P

It’s a great thing that they’re making V2s. At least they’re fessing up to their mistakes – a lot of groups I’ve worked with just slap together quick releases and never look back.
