Just a little status update…

So as you can see we are a lil’ behind on our 11 releases.

This is my fault, once again.

One of my terabyte drives decided to have the “click-of-death” yesterday, and has since been unrecognized in windows. This drive just happens to be where the SubDESU files are kept, yay!

Saki can be released as an XviD, as it’s on my other PC. But the others… Lets see how good Hitachi’s support team is.

I’m starting from scratch, but it shouldn’t be too long.

Luck doesn’t seem to be your best companion ;)

We still love your hard work, so don’t tire yourself trying to do everything all over again, do it in your own pace. I can understand most things from the RAW anyways, so I can relieve my need for the next episode that way. (It pays off to know languages)

still waiting for saki ep 11 and up. i hope u can finished subbing all the episode in avi format. anything we can do to help?.

    • ranmachua says:

I really feel sorry for you. Such a streak of bad luck :(. I hope everything will turn out well in the end.

    • roninracer says:

You may have better luck reading the drive in Linux and would at least be able to copy files off of it etc. Just DL a ‘live’ cd of Ubuntu or something and give it a shot. I even think there are live distros out there specifically for hard drive/system repair.

And it’s already been stated, but take your time. We all appreciate the work you’re doing and will wait for it.

      Good luck!

      A Hitachi? D:<
      But, I’ve only got a 320GB, so meh :/

    • Zer0 says:

      I have 4 1TB Hitachi’s.
The fail-rate was lower than the Seagate.
This one is the 3rd I bought. Lasted about a year. But it’s under warranty, so no biggie.

Working on Saki and Shangri-la right now guys :)

    • rhizura says:

^thanks Zer0. btw, i never like hitachi. i got bad experience with hitachi drive. always prefer wd and seagate. planning to buy 1TB hdd since i only have 500GB for anime storage. gotta find a new hdd asap >_<.

    • Kairoku says:

Oooo, damn dude I feek your pain. One of my Terabytes died and I lost all my anime and I had to redownload all of it. Take your time is rather wait for a quality releasw than have a shit release right yesterday.

    • Novice says:

Thats sad but we will wait for the release since stuff like this happens when you don’t want it to happen

Thanks for telling us the reason for the delay rather than guessing

No wonder why it took awhile for the Natsu no Arashi to be subbed, that’s really some bad news, by the way will you guys sub the second season of Natsu no Arashi too? It was announced in ANN just some time ago. Either way good luck on that problem guys

    • hitokirijin says:

does this mean that all the files in zero-fansubs are gone? :(

    • noname says:

Waiting for Natsu no Arashi! 11 :’(

    • CJ says:

      What’s the status on Shangri-La?

    • Zer0 says:

I thought Shangri-la would be done already :/

      I’ll look into it.

Ouch i clearly know how you feel there. Having had HDs die on me through many years. Love Seagate myself, but most stable ones ive ever used are Quantum. Though Quantum drives are a bit harder to get in the US. As for WD, Maxtor, OMG the nightmares, whenever i repair a PC and see one of those i get goose-bumbs. Those two are like a curse for me. But you shouldnt have any problems finding a software to recover lost files on a HD if you ever need to. Been shopping around and i have to say for this seasons shows you guys have the better quality subs. Alot of new groups popping up here and there with the new shows but nothing substantial.
I enjoyed your work on Kuragane so ill be waiting for your new shows as well.

aw. good luck! still waiting for your shangrila and linebarrel batch :)
